Steps to Admission @ Northwestern State University

• Submit the Application for Admission & $20 Application Fee or Apply Online Now!

• Submit Proof of Immunization Compliance Form

• Submit Copy of Selective Service Registration.  Males between the ages of 18 and 25 are required by federal law to register for Selective Service.  The link above will take you to the Selective Service website where you may register for selective service, or print a copy of your registration and submit to us with your application for admission.  Please be sure to write your complete name on your proof of registration form before you submit it to the Office of Admissions.

• Submit *official High School and/or ***College Transcript(s).  The Student Transcript System (STS) will be used to obtain the official transcript for Louisiana high school graduates of years 2003 to present.  Transfer students with less than 12 college level hours must supply high school transcript AND college transcript(s). 

• Submit **official ACT, SAT or Compass Scores.  Official test scores are those that are delivered to the Office of Admissions from ACT, SAT or the testing center where the Compass exam was given.

*An official transcript is one that is delivered to the Office of Admissions in a sealed envelope or by a secure electronic means from the previous institution(s). 

**An official test score is one that is delivered to the Office of Admissions in a sealed envelope or by a secure electronic means directly from the testing agency or center.

***College, Univesrity & Post-secondary transcripts are required from every previous insitution - regardless of whether or not any credits transfer.  Evaluations of transfer credits and admission decisions will ONLY be made after all official trasncripts have been received.
